The Loullia
A very famous landmark, but alas, not a diveable wreck. If only we had pulled her off when these pictures were taken (1983).
Built as the ANTONIA in Sweden 1952, the 3461 ton freighter had dimensions of 107m x 14m with a draught of 8.5m. She was renamed the Zschoau until 1978, and then finally the Loullia.
She lasted until September 29th 1981 when she ran aground on Gordon Reef - she has been a decaying landmark ever since. The crew safely abandoned ship four days after the collision. A forlorn life boat sits upright on the seabed, 60 metres below.
