Thailand:

Khao Lak

Khao Lak is on the west coast of Thailand's mainland, nestled between the Andaman Sea and the rustic Khao Lak National Park. This tranquil location can be reached by road and is just one hour drive from Phuket International Airport.

The activities in this emerging area make it appealing to any taste. For nature lovers there are three national parks to explore, opportunities to go elephant trekking, as well as relaxing on the untouched beaches of Hat Khaolak and Hat Thai Muang. The Wat Tham Suwankhuka temple which is a cave shrine to Buddha is a unique experience for those who are looking for the cultural aspects of Thailand.

For divers, Khao Lak is the ideal starting point for day trips to the Similan Islands, or a liveaboard trip to Richelieu Rock, Koh Tachai and Koh Bon.

Note: The dive centre is closed during the Summer months, therefore we only offer holidays to Khao Lak during the months of October to May.

Sea Bees Dive Centre - Khao Lak

Sea Bees logo

Sea Bees Dive Centre is located just a few minutes from the centre of Khao Lak. The dive centre is directly integrated with Sea Bees own dive resort, the Garden Palm Resort Khao Lak. The resort & dive centre are surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and are close to other local hotels, restaurants and shops.

Dive Centre

The dive centre has a modern and well stocked dive shop, selling the latest dive equipment and beach wear. The purpose-built 3m deep diving pool is the ideal place for confined water diver training and also to test your equipment or new purchases from the shop. The dive centre also has a well equipped work shop, an area for rinsing your equipment and a storage room for keeping your personal dive gear.

Whale Shark

Sea Bees dive boats are moored at the pier at Tab Lamu, which is a few kilometres outside of Khao Lak. 'Stingray', their day-trip boat, takes you to the Similan Islands, an absolute diving paradise. 'Genesis 1' is their live-aboard vessel, which operates between the Similan Islands and the world famous Richelieu Rock.

The dive sites on our day trips are carefully selected, and the max ratio of each group is four divers to one guide. The Similan Islands are visited at least four times a week and Koh Bon once weekly. These sites are rated amongst the "Top Ten" dive destinations in the world, and we are happy to be able to visit them daily with our guests. In addition, our dive trips take us on a regular basis to Boonsung Wreck with it's overwhelming abundance of marine life. A diving highlight is Richelieu Rock where each dive is special.
