Fire destroys Red Sea liveaboards in Suez dry dock

A fire swept through the main Suez dry dock on Saturday 30th January 2010, during the afternoon and evening, destroying several well-known Egyptian liveaboard dive boats.
We understand that four liveaboards, including three boats which are popular with UK divers, and were boats offered by Aquatours, have been affected. These are the Typhoon, Hyatt, Vip One and Sweet Dreams.
If you have a sailing booked on one of these boats, please do not contact your tour operator at this stage. We are working hard to arrange replacement boats, and will contact clients in due course.
