Vilamendhoo Island Resort
Vilamendhoo Island is located in the southern part of the Ari Atoll, the island of Vilamendhoo is 900 meters in length and 300 meters wide, and is located 52 miles south of Male.

The journey to the island is a 25 minute seaplane ride, plus 5 minutes by boat from the seaplane platform.
The lush vegetation on Vilamendhoo gives this island a truly tropical feel. Its peaceful and isolated location makes it a tranquil hideaway for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a comfortable environment with clean basic facilities.
Accommodation
There are 3 categories of accommodation:
13 Standard rooms, 131 Superior rooms and 10 deluxe rooms totaling 154 rooms in all.
Room facilities include hair dryer (in deluxe rooms) - international direct-dial telephone, refrigerator & satellite TV.
Food & Drink
All meals are buffet style taken in the main restaurant which serves local and international cuisine. Guests have the option to dine on half board basis (breakfast & evening meal), full board or all inclusive basis. Throughout the week there is an entertainment program including a Maldivian themed evening, an island BBQ (for a small additional charge) and a candlelit dinner in the main restaurant.
The main restaurant leads into a coffee shop which serves light snacks throughout the day and evening and close by is the main bar which has a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
In addition, to the west of the island is a beach bar and a coffee shop.
Sports & Recreation
The island is surrounded by white sand and a crystal clear water lagoon, which has an excellent house reef where snorkellers & divers may enjoy an abundance of marine life. This is a very popular island for those who enjoy the freedom of diving the house reef as and when they please!
There are a choice of facilities including a gym, badminton, table tennis and beach volleyball. Water sports include windsurfing, catamaran sailing, water skiing, sailing, wake boarding and canoeing are also available.
Scuba Diving
Euro Divers have a dive centre at this resort. The long, thin island is situated between two channels which will allow you to experience some of the most thrilling channel dives available in the Maldives. Vast numbers of pelagic fish, including oceanic white tip sharks, turtles and an abundance of fish frequent these waters.
This corner of the Ari Atoll has some of the best diving in the Atoll with over 40 sites to discover all within 60 minutes dhoni ride from Vilamendhoo.
The fantastic house reef with its many entry points is perfect for beginners or experienced divers as well as keen snorkelers. The house reef encircles the island and at 900m in length is one of the largest accessible house reefs in the Maldives. Starting just meters from the shoreline the reef varies in maximum depth from 28 to 35 metres. Beautifully formed with several shallow caves and overhangs it supports a wonderful amount of marine life.
A wreck 'Al Kareim' is only 15 minutes boat ride away and is visited regularly with the protected Marina Area Khudarah Thila just South of the island.
