The Taj Exotica Resort & Spa is located on the island of Emboodhu Finolhu in South Malé Atoll. This picturesque spot, once known as the ‘three-coconut island’, is situated 8 kilometres south of the capital city and transfer time from Male International Airport is just 15 minutes by speedboat.

Accommodation
The newly re-launched, award winning resort offers the finest contemporary luxuries and services. Each of the resort’s beautifully designed 62 villas is furnished in natural tones and textures. The warmth of wood, the fragrance of flowers and the soft glow of lamps and candles create an intimate ambience in the villas.
The palm-thatched villas, most over water are sensitively integrated with the natural settings. Amongst them, beach villas with private plunge pools and lagoon villas on stilts, which are perched over the ocean. Deluxe Lagoon villas are detached and have their own private sun deck. Built of finest natural wood finishes on the exteriors and floors and are delightfully appointed in classic Maldivian style.
Amenities include air-conditioning, mini bar, LCD television with satellite channels, safe, tea/coffee-maker, satellite television, DVD/CD player, MP3, Media Centre, Internet connection, international dialing and electronic safe.
Food & Drink
No matter where you choose to dine on the island – you are free to pick any spot you like – you’ll find the experience as unique as the island itself.
The two restaurants and bar are set amidst surroundings that create an ambience all their own both restaurants offering the most wonderful gourmet cuisine. Each offers uninterrupted panoramic views of the lagoon. With the option of either dining indoors, or on the open deck to take full advantage of the time of day and the weather, you will always receive warm, attentive yet unobtrusive service from the wonderful staff here.
Spa
Located on an intimate private island along-side the resort and accessed by a charming pergola, the Taj Spa by Mandara exudes a sense of harmony and romance. In its soft, soothing and minimalist tropical ambience, central courtyard garden, holistic design and array of picturesque over-water spa pavilions, guests are spoilt for choice from the range of experiences available.
The spa has a Welcome Pavilion, Spa Boutique, Yoga and Meditation Pavilion, a VIP Spa Suite and two over-water luxurious Couple Spa Suites. The soothing signature spa ceremonies, body therapies and authentic in-depth Ayurveda programs can be enjoyed in what can only be described as paradise.
Watersports
Beach and water sports at the Taj Exotica include: Catamaran Sailing, Water Skiing, Sea Kayaking & Windsurfing.
Scuba Diving
The resorts PADI Dive centre – Dolphin Base Dive & Watersports - offers a full range of services for its clients, provided by a professional multi-lingual team (courses are offered in German, English, French, Italian, Japanese and Russian). Several of the top dive areas such as the Embudhoo Canyon and an additional five protected marine areas are in close proximity to the island and may be reached by boat, either the dive dhoni or by speed boat.
Because of the multitude of sites nearby, an overcrowded dive site is a completely foreign concept here. Nearby sites include those with impressive coral formations, shark and manta (season dependent!) points, to overhangs and grottos. The centre’s staff know the best sites suitable for beginners, or for the experienced can take you to spectacular drift dives in the legendary canals like Embudhoo Express or Guraidhoo Kandu. It is fair to say that there is something for everyone and because you will often find that the numbers of divers per group are very small this allows the centre to offer a very personalised service.
