Kurumba island, Maldives

Kurumba Resort

Located just a short boat ride from Male, Kurumba Resort, has been named after the wonderful coconuts palms that grow in abundance throughout the island. Gorgeous shaded paths lead from one side of the island to the other of this 48 acre circular tropical paradise.

Completely renewed, it re-opened in 2004 as a resort of distinction, class and style and run with panache.

Accommodation

Beach view of Kurumba Island

Kurumba Maldives is classic in its design, with graceful meditation pavilions and ornamental pools. The serenity of the resort is perfectly matched by the uncompromising luxury of the 180 bungalows and villas that are dotted throughout the island.

Every villa and room is a symphony of good taste and glorious space, orchestrated with the harmony of polished wood floors, high timber-clad ceilings and antique style wooden furniture. Complemented by a walk-in dressing room and a bathroom of exquisite  sandstone tiles, a marble-sided tub and a second out-door artdeco shower in a private open-air patio.

Each room comes equipped with an in-room safe, private mini bar, tea/coffee makers, satellite TV, high speed internet connection and luxury amenities.

Dining at Sunset

Food & Drink

With nine different restaurants offering seven cuisines to choose from including French, Italian, Japanese, Indian, Lebanese and Chinese, the Kurumba Maldives is a gourmet experience like no other in the Maldives.

An intimate candlelit dinner for two on the beach or an indulgent evening in a specialty restaurant or a grand buffet. You are spoilt for choice.

After dining, you could then choose to dance the night away in the beach bar where five nights a week a band is in attendance.
