Filitheyo Island Resort
Filitheyo Island Resort opened in 1999, and is the only resort in the un-spoilt Faafu Atoll. A natural tropical Island, which is lush in vegetation and surrounded by a stunning house reef. The resort offers guest what can be only be described as a barefoot luxury retreat.

Geographically, the island is located approximately 120km south west of the capital island Malé and can be reached by a 35 minute sea plane flight followed by a ten minute dhoni boat ride.
Accommodation
This lovely island is approximately 900m in length and 500m wide, with a total of 125 villas designed to blend in with the island atmosphere all of which have pleasurable outside bathrooms.
Nestleling discreetly amongst the palm trees along the beach, they blend harmoniously with the natural habitat, with the resort exuding a relaxed charm.
Guests may choose from three types of accommodation; Superior Villas, Deluxe Villas and Water Villas. All are equipped with air conditioning, satellite tv, cd player, international direct dial telephone, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, in-room safe.
Food & Drink
The stylish main restaurant serves buffet style cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner with international cuisines from all corners of the world.
The Sunset restaurant & bar is located at the tip of the island offering freshly blended juice, cocktails, coffees & snacks and has a wide range of fine wine from the vineyards of Europe, has an intimate atmosphere and is the perfect end to the day.
Sports & Recreation Facilities
Filitheyo’s small spa invites you to indulge in one of the best of Asian Beauty Treatments, relaxing, healing & deliciously pampering that will only add to your overall holiday experience.
The resort has an air-conditioned fitness-centre and offers an array of water sports including surfing, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, and canoeing.
Holding cultural shows and weekly live music the resort also has a small boutique /shop and a good sized swimming pool to relax by.
Scuba Diving
The Internationally acclaimed Werner Lau Diving Centre offers a complete range of diving services for its guests. The island has a superb house reef, which on the northern side drops off to 90 meters attracting many pelagic fish, due to the currents that sweep either side of the island. There are 7 entry points, all served with a tank shuttle service which makes shore diving and snorkeling easy.
The centre usually offers a choice of 3-4 dive boats departing daily, graded to the ability of the divers, and being the only resort island in the Atoll, all of the 30 dive sites visited are exclusive. The centre also offers whole day excursions 2-3 times a week which take you to the west side of the atoll where you may see mantas.
A good choice of equipment is available for rental if required, with Nitrox being offered Free at Werner Lau Dive Centres.
