Blue Lagoon live-aboard : Maldives
The 'Blue Lagoon' was launched in Summer 2005 and is a luxury live-aboard dive boat operating in the Maldives. She has a length of 30 metres, and accommodates a maximum of 16 guests in eight cabins. She has a similar look and feel to the Red Sea safari boats, which many divers will already be familiar with.
The Maldives is a chain of 26 atolls, comprising 1,200 islands, lying 600km Southwest of Sri Lanka at the Southern tip of India.

Blue Lagoon was designed by an experienced Maldivian boat builder. Her hull is made from Ballau marine timber and all decks and over water superstructures are in fiberglass. The interior rooms are decorated in a combination of fine woods such as teak, mahogany & pine.
Boat Facilities
The reception and saloon area is located on the main deck, and comprise a large, spacious c-shaped sofa with central coffee table, a bar with a variety of wines, spirits, liquors, beers and Carlsberg draft beer as well. When not diving, guests can relax in the air-conditioned surroundings of the saloon area, which is also equipped with a large LCD TV, DVD player and music system. The restaurant is adjacent to the bar and lobby area, and can accommodate all guests. Meals are usually served buffet style. All interior flooring is covered in high quality coconut timber, and all exterior is covered with teak decking with a matt finish.
Guests are accommodated in 8 cabins, most of which are twin-bed arrangement but there is also one double cabin. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms with toilet and shower facilities.
The Blue Lagoon has a large, spacious sundeck measuring 9 metres by 11 metres.
