Ark Royal live-aboard : Maldives
The new Maldivian live-aboard 'Ark Royal' started operating in June 2009. She is a 35 metre (115-foot) luxury live-aboard cruiser diving the crystal clear waters of the Maldives islands.
The Maldives is a chain of 26 atolls, comprising 1,200 islands, lying 600km Southwest of Sri Lanka at the Southern tip of India.

Areas Visited
The Ark Royal sails the best of the Maldivian atolls and gives you access to the very best diving.
Sailings are mainly of 9 days / 9 nights of duration, with typical routes including South Male, Felidhu, famed North and South Ari Atoll, and North Male atolls, with up to 4 dives daily.
For those who prefer longer charters, two consecutive tours can be combined to accommodate, and we can adjust for special date requests subject to calendar/availability.
Tours are designed for best manta and whale shark sightings. While we do not guarantee the sightings of the big pelagics, the chance of encountering them is very high indeed.
Accommodation
Ark Royal accommodates a maximum of 18 guests in 7 Deluxe Cabins, 1 Junior Suite and 1 Suite which is located on the top deck.
All living quarters are furnished and decorated to a high standard and are equipped with a TV, DVD & CD player, a mini-bar/fridge, an electronic safe and telephone. You can also remain in touch with the rest of the world with the on-board Wi-Fi system. (note that internet access is not always possible in some remote locations).
Dining
The restaurant offers you indoor dining or alfresco outdoor dining, as well as an outdoor BBQ on some occasions. The food is varied and includes fresh international cuisine as well as traditional Maldivian dishes.
A fully-stocked bar, tastefully-decorated lounge, and relaxing outdoor seating on the sundeck mean that there are plenty of places to enjoy a sundowner in the evening, or refreshing drink during the day.
The boat has an extensive library, including video and music collections, should you wish to recline and lose yourself in a book, film or CD.
Sundecks
The spacious sundeck is perfect for watching the sun go down, with drink in hand, thanks to the outdoor bar service. There are smart tables & chairs as well as comfortable sun loungers.
When the sun does go down, and the stars come out, what better than to gaze upon their beauty with our telescope on deck. Don't forget, however, to engage our on-board Steam Bath and masseuse, for some relaxing therapy from time to time.
Diving
The Ark Royal's crew of 14 professional and dedicated staff are there to make your stay as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible.
The Ark Royal is a dedicated live-aboard dive boat, specially designed and built for this purpose. She started operations in June 2009, and is one of the best liveaboard boats currently operating in the Maldives.
