'Teate' was the first of a new generation of international standard liveaboard dive boats to operate in the Maldives. She recently arrived from the Egyptian Red Sea, where she was originally designed as a luxury private yacht for diving and fishing. She now operates in the Maldives under European management, and her new operators have many years experience of Maldives liveaboard diving. Teate boasts a sleek Italian design, teak decking and stainless steel fittings, which set her aside from all the typical local boats, and with two 1000hp engines, she is not only elegant but also very powerful. Teate accommodates 16 guests in eight twin cabins, all with en suite facilities (toilet & shower) and individually controlled air conditioning, offer divers the comfort they have come to expect from liveaboard vessels. The spacious dining room is large and comfortable and offers five star cuisine and service. Adjacent to the dining room is a fully stocked bar providing a range of alcoholic beverages, cold drinks and non stop snacks. The comfortable saloon area has TV, DVD player, music sound system and a range of board games. The diving is from the Maldivian style Dhoni where all equipment is kept during the week. The two bauer compressors on board allow quick and silent refills for guests, and Nitrox is available free of charge. There is a comprehensive rental inventory including an underwater scooter. Transportation to dive sites is by Rib or Dhoni. Why MV Teate? Offering 5 star service and 5 star diving this vessel is a truly unique way to see the Maldives. |
