Orchid red sea liveaboard boat

M/V Orchid is a 26m liveaboard is based in Sharm el Sheikh. She was completely refurbished in 2005 and her specifications included twin 325 hp caterpillar engines, zodiac, VHF, echo sounder, wreck finder, chart plotter, radar and GPS. She is ideal for Red Sea trips to reefs such as Ras Mohammed, the Straits of Tiran, Abu Nuhas and the wrecks of Dunraven and Thistlegorm.

Air-conditioned throughout, she has five large twin cabins, each with two beds, lots of storage, private WC/shower, TV and mini-bar. There is also a master cabin with double bed. The well equipped galley serves oriental and continental style food and the bright and airy saloon, with TV and video, amply accommodates all passengers. Also on board are an ice maker, barbecue, 8mm video system, CD system and battery recharging points. The sundeck, kitting-up area and dive platform are particularly large. A video link runs from the wheelhouse to the dive platform.

Air and Nitrox is supplied from two ABS compressors. 30 aluminium cylinders are carried, with Din/Int fittings. Two generators supply 220 volts electricity and freshwater comes from two desalination units.
