Mermaid 1 and Mermaid 2 are high quality liveaboard dive boats, offering trips to world-class dive areas in Thailand, Burma and Indonesia.

The liveaboard cruises cater for divers of all experience levels, in a setting that creates long lasting memories of an excellent dive holiday.

PADI scuba diving courses beyond entry level can be provided onboard, such as Advanced Open Water courses, Rescue courses and various Specialty courses.

The crew and dive guides are highly experienced and are part of a team that aims to give you a great scuba diving experience.

MERMAID 1

Length: 28 metres. Accommodates: 15 pax.

M/V Mermaid I is a 28 metre, double engine, steel-hull motor yacht. She comfortably holds 15 guests in 1 Master State Room (king bed), 1 Single and 4 Deluxe Cabins (double or twin beds) and 2 Budget Cabins (double/twin beds) below deck. The master, single and deluxe cabins have ensuite bathrooms, mini bars and panoramic sea view windows. The budget cabins are below decks with ensuite bathroom and mini bar. All cabins have TVs so you can review your pictures, DVD access, bathrobes, toiletries and fluffy towels.

Delicious Thai and western meals are served in our Sawasdee Restaurant with large windows to enjoy the views. After meals relax in our saloon equipped with TV/DVD and music centre and library with a full selection of marine life books.

There are two outside sun decks, one shaded with outside seating and the fabulous sundeck with sunshade plus cushioned sun beds.

There is a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and fresh water showers. NITROX is available on every cruise.

MERMAID 2

Length: 32 metres. Accommodates 16-18 pax.

M/V Mermaid II is a 32 metre, double engine, steel-hull motor yacht. One of the most comfortable diver boats in Thailand, she easily accommodates 16 guests in 8 deluxe cabins. (There is also room for 2 guests in a budget cabin below deck, but this cabin is only used for groups if the group size requires it). All deluxe cabins are on the main deck with large panoramic sea view windows. Each cabin has a double bed and single bed (max 2 persons per cabin), air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. (The budget cabin below deck has twin bunks, air conditioning and shared bathroom).

The dining room is located on the main deck where delicious buffet style Thai and western meals are served. The saloon is large and spacious with lounge suites and big windows, bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities, TV/DVD, music centre and library.

There are two outside sun decks; the shade covered party deck has a combination of lounge chairs and cushioned sun chairs. The sundeck, located in front of the wheelhouse, has cushioned sun chairs.

There is a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and fresh water showers. The dive deck is huge with plenty of room to gear up, individual boxes for your dive gear, camera table and loads of rinse tanks. NITROX is available on every cruise.

Introduction to areas visited The Mermaid boats operate year round, taking advantage of the different 'high seasons' throughout South-east Asia. Both Mermaid I and II operate in Thailand and Burma from October to early May of each year. Diving takes place at the world famous Similan islands & Hin Daeng Islands and the Mergui Archipelago of Burma. From June to October of each year Mermaid I operates out of Bali, providing 6 day/7 night liveaboard dive trips to Komodo, Indonesia from Bali.


	Thai 'Similan' & 'Hin Daeng' Islands (from Phuket): Thailand scuba diving offers diverse undersea experiences along with an unbelievable amount of top dive sites. The two best diving destinations are the Similan Islands including Richelieu Rock and the southern islands of Hin Daeng, Hin Muang & Phi-Phi Islands. Stunning under water scenery, beautiful soft corals and the rich marine life earned these destinations a great reputation. Burma (from Phuket): In Burma, about 300 km north-west of Phuket lie the relatively unexplored Mergui Archipelago and the Burma Banks, a group of underwater mountains rising from depths of over 300 meters to just below the surface. The thrill of close encounters with silver tip & nurse sharks as well as large schools of pelagic fish have made these great dive sites celebrated world-wide.



		Komodo - Indonesia (from Bali): From June to October each year we cruise Indonesia operating diving trips between Bali and Komodo. This area features some of the finest dive sites Asia has to offer. One of the highlights is walking with Dragons at the World Heritage Komodo National Park.
