		Amman is the capital city of Jordan. It is an interesting city where glimpses of ancient history and archaeology are woven through the city like patterns in a carpet. Modern offices and houses overlook Roman sites; modern shopping streets run parallel to old gold and spice markets. Don't miss a visit to the National Museum - capture the breathtaking view over the city from here. Amman, known as Philadelphia in Roman times, is a fascinating combination of ancient and modern, bustling yet sophisticated, efficient yet friendly and a city you will want to visit again. Amman is the perfect base for touring northern Jordan.

	Visiting Amman... Our standard tour already includes time in Amman. It is an ideal base for excursions to Jerash, Ajlun, Madaba & Mt Nebo and the Dead Sea. If you don't want the full tour, but do wish to spend time in Amman, then we can arrange it. Ask for a quote.
