The KEMPINSKI HOTEL SAN LAWRENZ is an exclusive hideaway resort with all the comforts 5 stars can offer. Surrounded by 30,000 sq.m. of gardens, the resort complex has been built to blend into the yellow limestone in a traditional style. This five-star resort has three outdoor pools and was built entirely from Maltese limestone in a traditional hunting-lodge style.

The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service at pre-arranged times to the major beaches and attractions of the Island.

The hotel has 122 airy rooms consisting of Suites, Junior Suites, Pool-View deluxe rooms and Superior Country-View rooms. Besides the rustic atmosphere in the lobby with natural stone floors, palm trees, flower beds, local woods and Mediterranean colours, guests find surroundings to relax the mind and body.

Location: The KEMPINSKI HOTEL SAN LAWRENZ is located in one of the picturesque valleys of the beautiful island of Gozo.

It is close to the Dwejra coastline where you will come across a unique natural phenomenon; the Inland Sea. A shallow body of water in the niche of a rocky coast connected to the sea through a narrow tunnel. With small fishing boats you can travel out to the sea through a narrow cleft and visit Fungus Rock, where Medieval knights grew medicinal mushrooms, or go to the famous Azure window, a 40 foot wide rock bridge protruding out into the sea.

Rooms & Suites

To offer guests the ultimate in comfort, privacy and relaxation, the rooms are made as welcoming as possible. Their spaciousness and cool stone walls are just what you need when the sun is shining outside and you need time in the shade with comfortable sofas to lounge on.

We offer three different room types; Superior Country-View rooms, Pool-View Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites. Each of our rooms and suites have a private balcony overlooking the beautiful valley of San Lawrenz or the resort's landscaped garden and pools.

All rooms are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning and heating, satellite TV, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, direct telephone and Internet Access point (wireless internet access available in some rooms). Electricity supply is 220V. The bathrooms feature full-size bathtubs as well as hairdryer, shaving adapter plug (110V/220V), telephone in bathroom and bathrobes are supplied.

Restaurants & Bars

The Kempinski is a gastronomic delight. Our chefs take personal care of our own garden where strawberries, melons, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and all the typical Mediterranean herbs grow organically creating refreshing dishes with only the best ingredients. Fishermen from the local village of San Lawrenz supply freshly caught fish for the lunch or barbeque buffet.

The hotel offers a variety of restaurants and bars. Our Pool bars offer refreshing drinks in a delightful and casual setting. There is also a cafe and lounge with a sundown cocktail terrace and the finest pastries on the island, as well as 24-hour room service. In addition, all our restaurants overlook the beautifully landscaped gardens.

Trattoria Restaurant: Chef Francesco Calore creates authentic Italian dishes in a relax yet elegant surroundings. Al fresco dining available in the summer months. Open from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Casual attire recommended.

At the Trattoria the cuisine appeals to all ages, you can try your favourite pizza or the freshest fish available.

Spa, Wellness centre & Leisure activities

The Spa at the San Lawrenz resort is one of the top ten in Europe. Guests can experience a variety of body and soul treatments including Ayurveda, Marine and herbal care, massages, Balneo baths and Vichy water showers.

For the more active guests the facilities include an outdoor pool for adults only and two outdoor family pools, 1 heated indoor pool and 1 heated indoor exercise pool, Jacuzzi and steam baths.

Child restrictions apply to the use of the indoor pools:
- Baby's between 0–3 years are not allowed in the indoor pool.
- Children aged 3-16 are allowed to use the indoor pool only between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., when accompanied by an adult.
- After 1 p.m. only adults from 16 years onwards are allowed in the indoor pool.

Ayurveda defines health as "Purity" of body, mind and soul and is the most natural way to refresh yourself, eliminate all toxic imbalances from the body and regain resistance and good health. The ayurvedic treatments include oil therapy, rejuvenation therapy, body slimming, aphrodisiac therapy, skin care and also a treatment for mental Well-being. Efficient doctors, with professionally trained and experienced staff head the Ayurvedic Centre.

For guests who seek more sportive activities, our facilities include a large, state of the art fitness centre overlooking the garden and tennis courts with a full range of cardiovascular and strength resistance equipment as well as an extensive set of free weights.

Our fitness instructors will be happy to assist you for all indoor and outdoor activities such as jogging, biking, swimming, excursions and much more… or join them to relax your body and mind, with Yoga and Pilates.

Children staying at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz are able to join our fun filled Kid's Club free of charge. Our Kids' Club team members are professionally trained. They take care of the kids, leaving adults rest assured to be able to relax with complete peace of mind while enjoying a day at our extensive Spa or a cocktail by the pool.
