The San Andrea Hotel is a modern, but quaint, 28 bedroom 3* hotel located on the front of Xlendi Bay in Gozo. It has been under new management since mid 2006, and Aquatours are pleased to be offering it for our new 2007 Gozo programme.

Embraced by the steep cliffs of the Xlendi Valley and cradled by the soft blowing sea breeze, the San Andrea is a good option for those wanting a smaller hotel in a quiet resort. The hotel aims to provide its guests with an intimate, comfortable and friendly atmosphere so that you can really get on with enjoying your stay on Gozo.

The dive centre that we offer, St. Andrew's Divers Cove, is located just next door to the San Andrea Hotel. It could not be more convenient! This centre offers the full range of PADI diving courses from beginner to advanced levels, as well as shore and boat diving for those already qualified. Diving equipment can be hired or purchased from the dive centre shop.

Accommodation at the San Andrea Hotel:

The hotel as 16 'side-view' rooms and 12 'sea view' rooms. The sea view rooms are recommended, and at a supplement of just £4 per person per night, it is not too expensive to upgrade.

All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms which are equipped with both a bathtub and shower, as well as electric hairdryer and shaving plug sockets. Each bedroom includes safety deposit box, direct-dial telephones, internet connection facilities and satellite television. The Hotel San Andrea is fully air-conditioned in the summer months, and centrally heated throughout the winter with individually controlled thermostats in each room.

Restaurant facilities at the hotel include the main Zafiro Restaurant which specialises in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine and fresh fish dishes.
The Promenade Restaurant, as its name suggests, is located outside on the seafront promenade at the front of Xlendi Bay. This serves a variety of dishes from morning to late evening.
The hotel has a comfy bar and lounge area in the downstairs area, as well as a roof-top terrace bar which is a great location for a 'sun downer' cocktail drink in the evening.

Other facilities include a babysitting service on request, laundry service, foreign exchange and room service.

St. Andrew's Divers Cove is located just across the road from the San Andrea Hotel, in Xlendi Bay.

Whether you're a beginner wishing to learn to dive, a less experienced diver or even an experienced diver, Gozo is an ideal destination. St. Andrew's Divers Cove is a well respected PADI dive centre and is open 12 months of the year, with diving available daily. Dive trips are available from either the shore or by boat.

This PADI dive centre is well equipped and also has a well stocked dive shop which offers quality scuba diving equipment at affordable prices from a range of the leading manufactures.

For those divers that are NITROX qualified (or wishing to learn) then the dive centre offers Nitrox fills for an additional Lm2.5 (about 6 Euros) per dive, on top of the standard dive pack rate.

How the dive centre operates... Most of the 54 dive sites that Gozo has to offer are reachable by car. Divers usually arrive at the centre at 9:00 a.m. to load their equipment into one of the dive trucks. We then drive a maximum of 20 mins to the dive site and kit up on site.

Another great way to dive with us is on our super fast and comfortable dive boat DIVEMANIA. From DiveMania we can take you to the best dive sites on Gozo, Comino and even Malta. Divers kit up before getting on board so they simply have to lean back and make splash once we get to the dive site. An average trip will take about 7 to 20 mins from harbour to dive site. A boat dive supplement applies to all boat dives taken.
