			The Kahramana is a superb 5-star hotel located in the beautiful unspoilt area of Marsa Alam, about 250 km south of Hurghada and 300 km south of Sharm El Sheikh. Transfers from Hurghada take about 3 hours, although there is now an airport at Marsa Alam itself, which we use for clients travelling to this hotel. The Kahramana resort is built on a sandy shore of the southern Red Sea, and ideally located for diving the nearby reefs of Daedalus, Elphinstone and Abu Dabbab. These reefs are more commonly only visited by expensive live-aboard boats from the north, so you can be sure of unspoilt and relatively uncrowded dive sites.

The accommodation is in well-appointed and comfortable traditionally domed bungalows, built from natural stone. All bungalows have large bedrooms (with a king size or two single beds), sofa bed, air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, international direct-dial telephone, large marble-clad bathroom and a generously sized terrace with deck chairs.

With three restaurants there is an excellent choice of cuisine. The main restaurant, 'Laguna Vista,' has a commanding view over the sea and tiered swimming pool. You can also choose to eat in the dramatically set 'Cliff fish-bar,' or the 'Arrabbiate,' authentic style Italian restaurant. Desert excursions are an optional extra for those wishing to visit the stunning mountains or local wadis. Don't miss the historic tour of the 'Emerald Cities' or 'Shelatin' - close to the Sudan border and including a fascinating local camel market. 				Diving at the Kahramana with PIONEER DIVERS Pioneer Divers based at the Kahramana, have tremendous knowledge of the local dive sites having 10 years experience of operating in this area. The entire coastline is a continuous fringing reef hosting some of the most pristine hard & soft coral life to be dived anywhere. As well as this, only an hour or so by boat, you can dive the famous 'Elphinstone Reef', home to a large population of hammerheads!
